Tabloidism
Friday, January 16, 2009 at 11:24PM The online media tracks the stories that get the most hits and regurgitates those to us over and over.
None of us can hide behind any pretense when we see that the most prominent stories are of celebs like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. You know that you click the entertainment stories first even if you don’t admit it to anyone.
Since most of us spend more time with our computers than our spouses or friends, and have little time to change the world in any other way, I call upon you my brothers and sisters to at least fake it and click on the stories of the world news, politics and business world first. If that is asking too much, the very least you can do is to click on the Brangelina stories of goodwill so it appears that we all have more depth.
Don’t make me create a watchdog group and send you email petitions to do it.
Then I won’t have time to keep up with Michael Phelps saga.
